Ok 1 Holiday down 2 more to go . I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving . I hope some of you were able to take advantage of amazing Black Friday Deals. I was out there with my mom helping her with styling ideas for everyone she was buying for and we didn’t do too bad! As you Dolls know I am all in the Holiday Spirit and I am trying to bring you some inspo that you can use this Holiday Season.
So Torrid Recently put out a Collection called the Torrid Insider Collection. What I love about this collection is that there is literally something for everyone. This collection includes tees, leggings, skirts, dresses, coats, and more. The collection was made where you can mix and match many of the pieces which is always something that I love. You will always get more for your money when you know that you can use the pieces in different looks. The two pieces that really caught my eye I felt are staples in any girls closet that can be worn more than one way.
The Textured Knit Moto Jacket is super soft but heavy weight. It is definitely a jacket that can be worn during the NYC winters. I was shocked to feel how heavy it actually was. So if you are looking for a Moto Jacket that is actually not paper thin I would totes recommend this one. My skirt is the Fringe Midi Skirt. No woman could go wrong with a black skirt add some fringe and now its a party. Once again the skirt is made so well with plenty stretch and a nice thick elastic band at the waist.
My handbag is also Torrid and it is the Metallic Chain Foldover Bag. This bag can be worn as a clutch or you can attack the metal chain which helps it to go across the body perfectly. I had so much fun wearing this walking down NY streets and that fringe just swaying back and forth.
I hope this looks brings some Inspiration to more of your Holiday looks for the season.
The Holidays are here and it all about Family, Friends, and Fashion. A super important thought on women’s minds is “What am I going to WEAR”? Sometimes as a curvy girl, you can feel that your options are limited. Well, I teamed up this Holiday Season with two amazing women and bloggers Marcy of Fearlessly Just Me and Darlene of Suits, Heels, and Curves to bring you dolls some ideas on how to dress for this Holiday Season. The looks we chose are so inspirational on how to achieve a great Holiday Party look. For all the Details and Links to their looks, check out their blog. Here is what we came up with:
What we wanted to show you Dolls that at no matter what size or height you are there are items in stores that you can find that will suit your body. You Dolls know I feel that trying things on is super important and also taking a risk sometimes can pay off. My Blogger Dolls and I are all bringing you looks from Fashion To Figure. We played with color, sparkles, and lengths.
all of you dolls know that I am a full-on Glam kind of Girl and all you Dolls Know that. The Holidays bring up the good and the bad. It is an extremely stressful time of the year but is also so fulfilling and rewarding. When I saw this Rita Ruched Dress I just knew it was made for me. Red makes me happy and when I put on this dress, I felt so Old School Hollywood Glamorous. It’s a rare thing to find a dress that can hit every curve in the right way but let me tell you something, this one did. I paired it with my own jewels and the Bar None Denim Wristlet in Gold. Dolls this is a must have dress for this season.
So Dolls no matter where this Holiday Season may take you make sure you feel your best in whatever YOU want to wear. Be comfortable in your own skin and just enjoy the holidays with the people who mean the most. I love you Dolls and I hope we were able to offer some inspiration to your Holiday Season Fashion.

Stay tuned for next week’s look focused on a casual but cozy holiday look from another one of our favorite retailers (shhhh, it’s a surprise!).

So I guess I can call myself a Red kind of Gal. I know sometimes women tend to stray from red but during the Holiday season I think Red on a woman looks so festive. When a woman wears red they are making a statement and they are soooo commanding attention. Don’t be afraid of red ladies sometimes it is fun to take a risk it usually tends to pay off and Fashion to Figure is helping us do just that.
When I saw the beautiful Anita Marshall wearing this I knew it was a must have for this Holiday Season. This Grayson Lace Up Dress will be the talk of any holiday event you are at. The lace up front is so on trend and it is great to see a plus size piece bring us that sex appeal that we want. This dress allows you to have these laces as open as you want or you can tighten them to cover up a bit more. Holiday season is here ladies grab your pieces early before the Holidays sneak up on you . Let out your inner vixen in this little number and show out Dolls.
So I am so excited to share this look with you Dolls because it is so me especially when I am channeling my inner Diva. I am a true believer in being SEXY for you and for you alone. Sometimes we get so caught up comparing ourselves to others that we don’t take a look at what we have to offer. Well Fashion To Figure totes helped me unleash my Inner Beyoncé in this number.
I love being able to use separate pieces and making them look like one. You Dolls know I am all about using pieces in my wardrobe that can be used in more ways than one. So this Iconic Turtle-neck is a perfect addition to any Diva’s Wardrobe. Who doesn’t love black and the message across it is clear as day. Walking in a room and commanding attention is a must and believe me no one will miss you in this top. I paired it up with the Kaira Faux Leather Mini to complete that Va Va Va Voom Vixen look.
For more of a everyday look but still letting everyone know that the Diva has entered the building I paired it with The Boyfriend Jean which has such a great relaxed fit but also hugs the curves perfectly. I love a great boyfriend jean because I can throw them on with some sneakers or throw on some heels and either way I am going to be stylish and comfortable. I am in love with both of these looks. Now throw on a red lip and Run the World Girl.
So you Dolls know how much I love a great deal. I was at my local Fashion to Figure and they were having a major sale. I’m always down to grab pieces that I know will work in more ways than one. So I was able to grab both oh these pieces for $35.00 and that’s pretty amazing. I’m always about getting pieces that you know you can pair up with what you already have in your closet and this top can easily be paired with a pair of leggings or jeans. It is not available online anymore but my local Fashion to Figure had a good amount left so I would say try and check it your local FTF(Fashion to Figure) and if not here is a similar alternative The Kenzie Shirt Dress.
So you know I’m all about reusing items from my closet to make them look new. I also take inspo from all over especially New York City streets. So I was out one night and I saw a girl do a similar look to this outfit so my brain started working and I was trying to think of what I already had in my closet to do something similar and here is what I came up with. After this whole look was put together I felt like such a Badass Barbie Doll and not to mention super modern day CHER FROM CLUELESS. I wanted to give you guys links to similar pieces to recreate this look if you choose.
My top was from Rue21 but this top from FTF Miley Chambray Tunic is almost an exact replica. My Sweater was from Forever21’s Barbie Collection but I think this sweater from Forever21 could work just as well . Last are my boots they are the Torrid Over The Knee Boots.
So I recently asked to join the Skorch Magazine Team and needless to say I was besides myself. I was a fan of Skorch Magazine before I was ever asked to be in the magazine and our Relationship has just continued to grow. So as one of my first assignments I was offered the chance to attend Lane Bryant’s Spring 2016 preview . I could not resist this amazing opportunity and I am so happy I attending. I got to meet the amazing Team at Lane Bryant and really get to see evolution that Lane Bryant has had over the last couple of years. I was pleased to see the amazing attention to detail on the clothing as well as the attention taken from what us as consumers want. A lot of the pieces were fashion forward and pieces that anyone could incorporate into their closet. I was especially pleased with their Cacique line which is always a crowd pleaser as well as their Active Wear line.
Lane Bryant also had their Models walking around and changing in and out of the new collection. It was great to be able to see real life bodies actually wearing the clothes. Lets talk a little about their Cacique Line , we all know that Lane Bryant’s Bras are one of the most supportive Lingerie Lines out there . What really pleased me was the amount of details and sexiness Cacique is going to be bringing to us. I used to be a Bra Specialist and I know what woman are looking when it comes to Sexy Bras. Lane Bryant is going to pleasantly shock you with what they have in store . The Lace and Shaping and Sex Appeal is definitely what I look for in my choice in lingerie and I can’t wait to get my hands on some of these pieces. I was especially in love with their active wear. I think that as a plus size woman working out next to other woman can be intimidating especially if we cant look cute doing it. A huge thing for me is the support in a sports bra’s and leggings and I was able to touch, pull and play with these pieces. Their active wear totally passed the test. The greatest thing was that most of the pieces are interchangeable with each other and I love being able to mix and match. I had a blast getting to hang out with blogger friends and really get to see Lane Bryant’s future vision and I am excited to see what is to come for them.
So down to what I was wearing that night . I had ordered my Lace up boots from Torrid and I was just waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear them. Unfortunately they sold out by now but I did announce to everyone when they were on sale so if any of you dolls got them I am sure you love them just as much as I do . I also had a vision in my head of what kind of style I wanted to accompany them. So a lot of girls thought that I was wearing a dress but it was actually a top and skirt. My top was from Charlotte Russe and my skirt was from H&M. I topped my whole look off with my Favorite Coat of the season which is from my collection Society-Plus .
